Category B1.1 – Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical, Aeroplanes Turbine)
Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer shall permit the holder to issue maintenance release following maintenance including aircraft structure, power plant and mechanical and electrical systems. Replacement of avionic line replaceable units, requiring simple test without the use of test equipment to prove their serviceability, shall also be included in the privileges.

Programme Overview
The programme provides students with a solid foundation for a career as a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer. The course covers all of the knowledge requirements specified in the CAAM Part-66 Category B1.1 syllabus.
What you will study
- Description and operation of airframe, engine, electrical and avionics systems.
- Description and operation of controls and indicators.
- Identification and location of the main components.
- Servicing of the airframe, engine and electrical systems in accordance with aircraft maintenance manuals.
- Troubleshooting the airframe, engine and electrical systems with the use of built-in devices.
- Operational testing of the airframe, engine and electrical system.
- Servicing and minor troubleshooting of the avionics with the use of built-in test device.

Category A1 – Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Technician (Mechanical, Aeroplanes Turbine)
Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Technician permits the holder to issue maintenance release following minor scheduled line maintenance and simple defect rectification within the limits of tasks specifically endorsed on the license. The certification privileges shall be restricted to work that the licence holder has personally performed in an appropriately AMO.

Programme Overview
The programme covers all basic knowledge requirements specified in the CAAM Part-66 Category A1 Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Technician syllabus, introduces you to aircraft practical and maintenance skills and provides you with opportunities to practice and develop these skills.
