Aircraft Maintenance Engineer

Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Category B1.1 – Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical, Aeroplanes Turbine)

Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer shall permit the holder to issue maintenance release following maintenance including aircraft structure, power plant and mechanical and electrical systems. Replacement of avionic line replaceable units, requiring simple test without the use of test equipment to prove their serviceability, shall also be included in the privileges.

Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Programme Overview

The programme provides students with a solid foundation for a career as a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer. The course covers all of the knowledge requirements specified in the CAAM Part-66 Category B1.1 syllabus.

What will you study?

Servicing and minor troubleshooting of the avionics with the use of built-in test device

Operational testing of the airframe, engine and electrical system

Description and operation of airframe, engine, electrical and avionics systems

Identification and location of the main components

Servicing of the airframe, engine and electrical systems in accordance with aircraft maintenance manuals

Troubleshooting the airframe, engine and electrical systems with the use of bult-in devices

Requirements

Pass SPM with a credit in English.

Formal education, such as having a diploma or a degree, is not necessary

You must be minimum 17 years old to enroll in the aircraft maintenance license program.

Be able to read, speak, and understand English fluently

No colour blindness , claustrophobia and acrophobia.
